  • Founder, Principal

    Raised on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Damien Blumetti grew up surrounded by the quiet clarity of subtropical light, barrier islands, and modernist homes that bridged indoors and out. Blumetti earned his Bachelor of Design degree in 2007 and his Master of Architecture degree in 2009— both from the University of Florida, where he later returned as an adjunct professor, helping guide the next generation of architects. 

    Early in his career, he joined the studio of world-renowned modernist architect Guy Peterson, whose practice profoundly shaped Blumetti’s aesthetic and approach to the discipline. Working under Peterson solidified his commitment to clarity, precision, and the enduring value of regional modernism. In 2017, Blumetti founded his own firm, Damien Blumetti Architect.

    Blumetti’s professional contributions extend beyond the studio. In 2023, he served as the President of the AIA Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, working to strengthen regional networks through advocacy, programming, and mentorship. Through both practice and leadership, he continues to uphold and reinterpret the principles of regional modernism for a new generation. He resides in Sarasota with his wife, Erin, and two daughters, Ila and Etta.

  • Project Architect

    Originally from Plano, Texas, Amanda Byars, AIA, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Byars attended the University of Florida for graduate school, where she received her Master of Architecture degree. During her graduate studies, she also taught undergraduate courses in design and advanced curriculum in environmental technology, solar geometry, sun-shading systems, and HVAC system design.

    Prior to joining Damien Blumetti Architect, Byars worked for three years as a Project Manager for Guy Peterson Office for Architecture. She has been a Project Architect at Damien Blumetti Architect since 2017, where she manages the design, documentation, and administration of complex modern construction. Her experience with the firm includes several multi-phase renovation projects, as well as new residential and commercial construction.

  • Project Architect

    Adam Roark, AIA received his Master of Architecture degree from Clemson University and joined Damien Blumetti Architect in 2018. With a degree specialization in “Digital Ecologies”, Roark brings expertise in using technology to achieve simple solutions for the most complex design problems. While he is a natural information sponge with a passion for learning, it is the sharing of information where he finds the most joy.

    Prior to joining Damien Blumetti Architect, Roark gained architecture experience working on commercial and residential projects of various scopes in New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Auburn, AL; and Charleston, SC. The dichotomy of designing for both deeply rural and highly urban environments shaped a perspective with a unique blend of insights and appreciation.

    Since joining Damien Blumetti Architect, Roark has helped lead the Building Information Modeling (BIM) goals to ensure an optimized transition between design and construction. With a passion for visualization, he takes pleasure in bringing an architectural vision to life from the onset of a project in order to present a narrative and communicate ideas clearly. He resides in Columbia, SC with his wife, Lauren, and two children, Charlie and Ellie.

  • Director of Finance

    Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Erin Adams has spent most of her life in Sarasota, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from State College of Florida in 2014, graduating with high honors. Adams has more than 15 years of experience in hospitality training, during which she specialized in restaurant administration, management, customer service, and designing and implementing financial strategies.

    In 2017, Adams co-founded Damien Blumetti Architect alongside her husband. She serves as the Director of Finance, developing and monitoring project budgets, overseeing financial activities, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Operating as an on-the-ground liaison between the design studio and the client, Adams also demonstrates a strong commitment to service, and maintains utmost integrity and clarity in the evolution of each project.

    Founded by principal strategist Rebecca Landesman and editorial director Jordan Blumetti, LABL is a boutique digital marketing and communications studio based in Miami, Florida. The firm supports purpose-driven clients in the fields of art, design, hospitality, literature, and philanthropy.
